Advocacy on your Behalf
Located near the State Capitol Building, NJACP is the voice of community providers in Trenton and Washington, D.C. We champion policies that enhance service delivery, promote best practices, and support the daily operations of agencies serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Our full-time professional staff actively engages with state and federal legislators, executive branch officials, and key agencies — including the New Jersey Department of Human Services — to protect provider interests and improve the quality of services. Whether at the State House, in Congress, or within regulatory bodies, NJACP advocates for systems that empower providers and improve the lives of those they support.
NJACP members play a key role in shaping our advocacy agenda. Through access to data, research, fact sheets, policy briefs, and collaboration with industry leaders, members help drive forward meaningful change. Our expanding presence in media — including press coverage, social media, and public relations — amplifies provider voices and strengthens our influence on public policy.
With timely updates on key issues and advocacy efforts, NJACPS ensures members are informed, supported, and well-represented at every level of government.
